This webinar will guide teachers through using Section 1 of the “Creating Animation in the Classroom” iBook – A step-by-step guide to making quality animations using iPads in the classroom has been launched by the Nerve Centre’s Creative Learning Centre team and is now available from the iTunes iBook store.
The free resource for teachers, ‘Creating Animation in the Classroom: A Step By Step Interactive Handbook From The Nerve Centre’ takes users through the entire process, from planning the story, creating characters and convincing backdrops, setting up the camera, managing the shoot to editing the film together.
The iBook is a follow-up to the Nerve Centre’s ‘Digital Book of Kells’ project in 2013, which gave over 900 school children the opportunity to create an animated Book of Kells for the 21st century. The successes and challenges encountered in nearly 40 classrooms along the way informed and inspired the book.
